The brief
Florists and event teams usually price a job by hand. It's slow, numbers get typed over, and many only find out after the event that a job made very little.
ProfitBloom turns that into a flow: check the job, cost it, send the quote, then compare the real profit with what you expected.
What had to work
- Shop owners without an accounting background have to read the numbers at a glance.
- One job should move from check to quote to after-event summary without typing anything twice.
- It has to work on a phone, often while talking to the client.
- Warn about the usual mistakes before the quote goes out.
What I did
- 01
Check before you take the job
Enter the client's budget, answer 10 short questions, and get one of three answers: take it, take it with changes, or likely loss. Each comes with the reason.
- 02
One health score
A profit score from 0 to 100, the margin, the cash to set aside and a suggested price range, all on one screen.
- 03
Quotes from the costs
The quote is built from the costs already entered and exported as a PDF. A check flags misses such as the owner's own labour, a pack-down fee or a deposit too small to cover upfront costs.
- 04
What if
Try 'the client cuts the budget 15%' or 'flowers go up 20%' and see profit and margin change straight away.
- 05
A dashboard that answers questions
Home shows the jobs that need a decision first, ranked by risk, then sales, net profit, projects in progress and success rate, a sales and profit chart, and recent activity.
- 06
Design and build
I designed the app and the landing page, and built and shipped both.
